Our Purpose

African Americans in Life Sciences (AALS) intends to:

• Support and sponsor African American/Black students in the Tucson community

• Redefine the face of health-related professions

• Promote unity and understanding among students in AALS

• Protect, defend and promote the academic and social interests of members of AALS

• Cooperate with other student bodies in the University of Arizona and outside with a view of promoting unity and understanding among black organizations

• Promote awareness among the members, of matters pertaining to life sciences, health field etc.
