Meet The Team

Francine Koroma, she/her

President

Francine is a junior majoring in Physiology and Medical Sciences and minoring in Human Development and Family Sciences. Outside of AALS you may see her rocking her rugby as #19 in Links Junior Honorary. She has also taken the opportunity to shadow at a pediatric clinic to better prepare for her career and understand the relationships around her. After UArizona, her goal is to become a pediatrician!

Megan Bime, she/her

Vice President

Megan is a junior majoring in Physiology and Medical Sciences with a minor in Journalism. She loves being outdoors, crafting, and filming. Outside of AALS, you may find her in a variety of spots on campus, whether its at the Writing Center where she tutors students or in the McKale Athletic Training Center where she serves as a technician. After UArizona, she would love to become a physician in the sports medicine field or working in the area of rehabilitation.

Daryl Ijaola, he/him

Treasurer

Daryl is a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Spanish and Health & Human Values. You may find him in other clubs on campus like the BME club, or formerly in Black Excellence Scholars. He loves writing poetry and is currently working his way to being published! After UArizona, his career goals lie somewhere in the healthcare profession as a doctor or insurance CEO.

Blossom Obi, she/her

Secretary

Blossom is a senior majoring in Biomedical Science and minoring in Psychology and Russian Studies. Outside of AALS you may see her being involved in a plethora of other clubs and departments on campus AASA, Housing & Residential life, and New Student and Orientation Services. Who loves to dance and move? You may be excited to find that Blossom has danced semi-professionally for 7-8 years in ballet and hip hop. After she graduates, she would like to go to medical school with hopes of focusing on brain surgery.

Sydney Roberson, she/her

Fundraising Chair

Sydney is a senior majoring in Biology with a minor in Biochemistry. If you love game shows, you'd be surprised to know that Sydney was on an episode of Wheel of Fortune earlier this year! She loves being outdoors and participates in other clubs on campus including the Pre-Dental Honorary. After her graduation this year, she would like to become a dentist.

Alisa Agyare, she/her

Historian/Social Media Chair

Alisa is a sophomore majoring in Physiology and minoring in Studio Art. Outside of AALS, you may see her in other clubs on campus including Franke Honors Ambassadors and Black Excellence Scholars.. Fun fact, Alisa tore her ACL and had to have two surgeries from playing soccer! After UArizona, she wants to go to medical school. Ade Ajayi, he/him

Professional Development Chair

Ade is a senior majoring in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Along with being an integral member of AALS, you may have seen him around campus as a Residential Assistant. He also is a fan of motor racing! After his graduation this year, Ade would like to become a scientist at a pharmaceutical company. Be sure to attend the may healthcare-related events that Ade offers this year to help find your path!

Samia Hartley, she/her

Social Chair

Samia is a sophomore majoring in Medicine and Africana Studies. She has participated in so many programs and departments on campus including ASA, AASA, Street Medicine, and is also part of a work-study job as a research assistant. In addition to her studious side, she also loves painting nature! After UArizona, she hopes to go to medical school for emergency medicine surgery.

Niat Solomon, she/her

Co-Volunteer Chair

Niat is a junior majoring in Neuroscience & Cognitive Sciences. Outside of AALS, you may see her in Physiology Club or rocking her amazing outfits around campus. She enjoys listening to music, doing hair, and dancing. After UArizona, she wants to become an OBGYN. In her second year as AALS Volunteer Chair, she is ready to help you find the right event that feeds your passions and helps the community!

Collins Maiyo, he/him

Co-Volunteer Chair

Collins is a senior majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Biomedical Sciences. If you love the outdoors, you may have a fun connection with Collins who is part of the climbing club and running club, He also ran track for 8 years and participated in cross country! After he graduates this year from UArizona, he would like to become a cardiovascular perfusionist. Want to learn more about what that is? Be sure to visit one of the volunteer events to find out!
